Why is the new combined Credit Union named Wasatch Peaks?
A committee was formed with representatives from Alliance and Weber Credit Unions to create a new identity that represents our members who work, live, worship, or attend school in Weber, Davis, and Morgan Counties in beautiful Northern Utah. After generating and reviewing dozens of names, Wasatch Peaks was chosen to reflect the brand that we can all identify with—majestic mountains, a wealth of outdoor activities, and a lifestyle that is second to none.

Who will be the new CEO for Wasatch Peaks Credit Union?
Blake Burrell, the CEO of Alliance Credit Union, will be the CEO of Wasatch Peaks.

How will the Board of Directors of the new Wasatch Peaks Credit Union be established?
A pro-rated number of directors from Alliance and Weber Credit Unions will comprise the new Board of Directors. Each credit union will determine which directors will be appointed to the new 15 member board.

Will I still be able to do business with the same great people at the branch I visit most often?
There may be some minor changes in branch assignments for some of the staff. For the most part, you will still see the same smiling faces that you’re accustomed to seeing now. With a total of 6 branches, the chances are good that you may have a new branch that is now closer to where you live or work.

Will my Alliance and Weber checks and credit cards still work?
Yes, the conversion to Wasatch Peaks will take some time to implement. Just continue to use your current checks and credit cards until they run out or expire. The new Wasatch Peaks Credit Union checks and credit cards will be available in the near future.

Will any staff lose jobs or get demoted?
Gladly, credit union employees will all retain their jobs and most employees will be able to specialize in a specific area of responsibility; whereas beforehand, most of the staff had to handle many different job responsibilities and functions. Also, there will be improved advancement opportunities, training, and benefits.

Is my account number going to change?
For now, all account numbers will remain the same. However, there are some account numbers that are identical and will have to change in the near future. For most members, your account numbers will stay the same. If your account number changes, we will contact you well in advance of the change.

Do I need to change my information with my employer for my direct deposit?
Your direct deposit information will not change now, but may change in the near future. We'll let you know about any proposed changes to direct deposit well in advance.

How can I access my account online?
You will still use your current Online Banking and Bill Pay. So, whether you're a member at Weber or Alliance, go to the appropriate website to log in. In the near future, we will convert all members to the same Online Banking and Bill Pay platform.

Does Wasatch Peaks Credit Union have a website?
Wasatch Peaks will have a complete website in the near future at www.WasatchPeaks.com. Right now, this website's purpose is to provide information and direct you to either the Alliance or Weber Credit Union websites.

Will my accounts still be fully insured?
Yes, all applicable accounts are insured up to $250,000 by the NCUA (National Credit Union Administration), a U.S. Government Agency.

Which credit union branch should I bank at?
You can do all of your normal banking activities at any of the Weber or Alliance Credit Union branches that are most convenient to you.

Should I expect further changes in the future?
This merger will take some time to complete regarding systems, processes, and technology. We will keep you informed of any changes well in advance of these upgrades. Our goal is to make this transition as smooth as possible for our members.

Why did my credit union merge?
Both Alliance and Weber Credit Unions are financially–sound, well–managed, and have a combined 136 years of service to our members. This experience, strength, shared values, and focus on serving you, the member, makes the newly merged Wasatch Peaks Credit Union a better solution to meet your ongoing financial needs.

What benefits do I gain from the new credit union?
You will have improved convenience and accessibility to your accounts with 6 branches to serve you.

Will products and services change?
For now, your account features will remain the same. In the near future, Wasatch Peaks will offer improved products and services to better meet your financial needs.

Will my credit union voting rights change?
No, your voting rights as a credit union member will remain the same: one member, one vote.

Who is eligible to join Wasatch Peaks Credit Union?
Everyone who lives, works, worships, or attends school in Weber, Davis, or Morgan Counties in beautiful Northern Utah is eligible to become a member-owner of Wasatch Peaks.

How financially strong is the new merged credit union?
Wasatch Peaks is very stable and financially–sound.
