Wasatch Peaks Credit Union would like to announce that its board of directors has unanimously chosen Jeff Shaw as the credit union’s next chief executive officer. Shaw, who previously served as Wasatch Peaks’ executive vice president and chief financial officer, succeeded Blake Burrell on January 1.
Jeff has 20 years of executive management experience in the credit union industry, beginning his career as the CFO of Tooele Federal Credit Union in February of 2000. Jeff served as the EVP/CFO of Wasatch Peaks Credit Union for eight years and played an integral role in the mergers between Weber, Alliance, and SummitOne credit unions. Prior to the mergers, Jeff served as the President/CEO of Weber Credit Union for five years.
Jeff holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master’s in business administration from Utah State University. He is also a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
Jeff is a strong advocate for the credit union industry and serves on the board of directors of two credit union service organizations or CUSOs. Jeff has served as the Chairman of the Board for HomeCU, a credit union digital banking company, since September of 2014 and also serves on the board of directors of CUProdigy, a credit union software development company.
Jeff is active in the community, serving in his local church and youth sports organizations. He also serves on the board of trustees of the Weber School Foundation, a local non-profit organization.
Jeff was born and raised in Brigham City, Utah. Jeff and his wife Shauna have five children and live in Pleasant View.
Jeff enjoys basketball, golf, boating, hunting, and camping.
