Stukent offers an innovative and immersive educational experience designed specifically for high school students, focusing on enhancing their financial literacy in a dynamic and interactive manner. Through the Stukent Personal Finance Simulation, students are presented with a unique opportunity to delve into the world of financial management, where they can apply their knowledge and make informed decisions in a variety of real-world scenarios. This simulation not only provides a hands-on learning environment but also encourages students to think critically and strategically about their financial choices. By engaging with this program, students can develop essential skills that are crucial for their future financial independence, such as budgeting, saving, investing, and understanding the impact of economic factors on personal finances. The interactive nature of the simulation ensures that students remain engaged and motivated, making the learning process both enjoyable and effective. As they navigate through different financial challenges, students build confidence in their ability to manage money wisely, setting a strong foundation for their financial future.
Preston is a recent high school graduate from our community who successfully completed the Stukent Financial Literacy program at his high school. This program equipped him with essential financial skills and knowledge, empowering him to make informed decisions about his financial future. Through this comprehensive curriculum, Adam gained valuable insights into budgeting, saving, and investing, setting a strong foundation for his personal and professional growth.
Banzai provides an accessible library of financial literacy resources that Wasatch Peaks can offer to its members, community, and employees. The Banzai courses, workbooks, and calculators facilitate relationship-building within the community while promoting a culture of financial literacy.
Junior Achievement provides an extensive range of programs aimed at fostering entrepreneurial skills, enhancing financial literacy, and equipping students for the job market. Wasatch Peaks is part of 8,700 volunteers who present curriculum to students, K-12, empowering them with the critical knowledge and skills needed to pursue their economic aspirations. The curriculum includes hands-on activities and experiential learning opportunities that encourage students to actively engage with the material and apply their knowledge in real-world scenarios, helping them plan for the future and make smart financial choices.
Reality Town is an exciting, interactive curriculum designed for eighth and ninth graders, where students have the opportunity to step into the shoes of a 30-year-old adult. They visit booths and manage a career, salary, family life, and financial responsibilities and challenges—all determined by their academic performance. Wasatch Peaks volunteers at these events at Roy and Mount Ogden Junior High.
The Wasatch Peaks Foundation is committed to supporting the communities of Weber, Morgan, Davis and Box Elder Counties through volunteer work, donations, and outreach. We focus on supporting our youth and partner with local schools and organizations to strengthen our future. As a community member, we aim to uplift others and support worthy causes.
